316L Stainless Steel Plate 25mm No.1 Finish

316L stainless steel plate in 25mm thickness with a No.1 finish is supplied by Shaanxi Shuncheng Tian Steel Co., Ltd. for heavy-gauge fabrication where corrosion resistance and weldability matter more than surface appearance. No.1 is the standard mill finish for hot rolled plate: the surface is annealed and pickled, giving a matte grey face that is easy to weld, straightforward to passivate and economical per tonne. It is the usual starting point for pressure parts, large tanks and structural pad plates that will be ground, brushed or polished further downstream.

25mm 316L plate is commonly selected for chemical and petrochemical storage tanks, heat exchanger shells and tube sheets, desalination and offshore modules, pulp and paper equipment, pharmaceutical skids, and heavy machined parts such as flanges and valve bodies. Because 316L carries a low carbon content, it resists carbide precipitation in the heat-affected zone, which makes multi-pass welding practical and lowers the risk of intergranular corrosion in service.
