Carbon Steel Coil Q355B 6.0mm

Q355B is a low-alloy structural steel with a minimum yield strength of 355 MPa — a step above plain Q235B wherever higher load capacity, or a lighter section for the same duty, is required. At 6.0 mm it is a heavy hot rolled gauge: thick enough to carry structural loads after forming, yet still supplied in coil so that slitting, levelling and cut-to-length lines can process it without extra handling. It suits roll-forming mills, fabrication shops and general engineering works that need consistent thickness across long runs.

The 6.0 mm gauge in Q355B feeds roll-formed structural sections, truck chassis and trailer beams, crane and excavator components, storage-rack uprights, agricultural machinery, transmission towers and welded fabrications. Because the grade carries a 355 MPa minimum yield, designers can often specify a thinner section than Q235B for the same load, which saves weight on mobile equipment. The B quality class also offers impact toughness at low temperature, so outdoor structures and cold-region equipment are a natural fit. Where downstream laser cutting, welding or painting follows, most buyers specify pickled and oiled surface to start from an oxide-free coil.
