316L stainless steel plate 6mm No.4 finish is a hot-rolled, annealed and pickled plate that is polished with a No.4 abrasive belt to give a fine directional grain. Supplied in 1500 × 3000 mm, the 6 mm gauge carries enough stiffness to hold its shape through bending, forming and welding, while the molybdenum-bearing 316L chemistry resists chlorides and washdown chemicals. It is a standard choice for process equipment, architectural panels and coastal fabrication where both strength and appearance matter.

Applications
The No.4 grain hides minor handling marks, so 6 mm 316L plate is widely used for lift and elevator cladding, kitchen and laboratory benching, tank shells, hoppers and machine guards. Because the plate is thick enough to be bent on a press brake and welded without distortion, fabricators also specify it for ducting, frames and coastal structures exposed to salt spray. Plates can be supplied sheared or plasma-cut to your cutting list, with PVC film protection on the brushed face on request.
