Deformed Steel Bar (Rebar) HRB400E 10mm

This 10 mm deformed steel bar is supplied in seismic-grade HRB400E, hot-rolled with longitudinal and transverse ribs that lock it into concrete. With a nominal yield strength of 400 MPa and the ductility demanded of E-grade reinforcement, the 10 mm bar is typically specified for stirrups, ties, slab distribution steel and light column reinforcement — including lap-spliced cages where bars are overlapped and tied on site.

HRB400E 10 mm rebar suits stirrups and ties in beams and columns, distribution and temperature steel in slabs and raft foundations, dowels and starter bars in walls, and secondary reinforcement in precast elements. Because the E grade keeps its strength and elongation under cyclic loading, it is the bar most often required by seismic design codes for these positions, where full anchorage and correctly calculated laps decide whether the cage behaves as designed. The ribbed surface improves bond with concrete, which shortens anchorage and allows practical splice lengths at congested joints.
