Galvanized Steel Tube 100x50mm Rectangular 2.0mm

This 100 × 50 mm rectangular galvanized steel tube combines a 2.0 mm wall with a Z180 hot-dip zinc coating, giving fabricators a light, economical hollow section with flat mounting faces. It is commonly specified for structural frames, purlins, rails, equipment supports, guard rails, carport structures and general fabrication exposed to the weather.

The 2.0 mm wall keeps the section light for handling, cutting and shipping while still carrying the bending and compressive loads typical of secondary structural members. Being rectangular rather than square, the wider face gives a generous surface for bolting brackets, cladding and railings, while the shallower face suits confined frames. The Z180 coating provides a moderate zinc mass for indoor to mildly humid service, so the tube is often left unpainted indoors and simply touched up at cut ends.

Typical applications include mezzanine frames, machine guards, conveyor and racking rails, sign gantries, solar mounting rails, fence and gate frames, and trailer sub-frames where the galvanized finish removes the need for on-site painting.
