Aluminum Plate 6061 2mm
6061 aluminum plate in 2 mm thickness is a heat-treatable Al-Mg-Si alloy supplied in T6 temper, giving the highest strength of the common general-purpose aluminum grades. Two-millimetre 6061 sheet machines cleanly, takes anodising well and holds tight tolerances, so it suits CNC-machined brackets, jigs, electronic chassis and structural panels where weight matters. At about 2.70 g/cm³ it delivers roughly one-third the weight of steel at comparable stiffness. Thickness is measured to ASTM B209 tolerances, and sheets are supplied flat on pallets to protect the mill finish in transit.

Applications
Typical uses include CNC-machined components, aircraft and automotive fixtures, mould bases, electronic enclosures, marine hardware and precision jigs. Because 2 mm 6061-T6 plate is strong yet light, engineers specify it where a part must carry load without adding mass. It welds and anodises readily, and forming is easier in the T4 temper before ageing to T6.
