Aluminum Coil 3003 1.0mm
3003 aluminum coil in 1.0 mm is a manganese-alloyed aluminium — roughly 1.2% manganese added to a 1xxx base — supplied in the H14 half-hard temper. The manganese addition lifts strength about 20% above commercially pure 1050 while keeping the formability and atmospheric corrosion resistance that fabricators depend on. At one millimetre it is a workhorse gauge: stiff enough to hold a formed shape, still easy to shear, bend and roll, which suits roofing trim, gutters, HVAC panels, sign blanks and general sheet-metal work.

Typical Applications
Because 3003 resists both atmospheric corrosion and moderate chemical exposure, the 1.0 mm gauge is widely specified for roofing and wall cladding accessories, gutters and flashings, HVAC duct and panel work, truck and trailer linings, signage, tool boxes and appliance panels. It also anodizes and paints evenly, so it takes finished decorative and architectural work without the streaking that softer pure grades can show. Fabricators who need a stronger general-purpose sheet than 1050 usually move up to this alloy rather than jumping to heat-treatable 6061.
