Deformed steel bar (rebar) HRB400 20mm is a hot-rolled ribbed reinforcing bar with a 400 MPa nominal yield strength, supplied in 12-meter lengths for concrete reinforcement in construction projects. The deformed surface — transverse and longitudinal ribs rolled into the bar — gives the steel a strong mechanical bond with concrete, which makes it the standard choice for structural members that carry tension and bending loads. This grade is available in industry-standard dimensions and is shipped in export-seaworthy bundles from our mill-direct stock.

HRB400 deformed steel bar is widely used in reinforced concrete structures: building frames, columns, beams and floor slabs, foundations and retaining walls, precast elements, bridges and highway works. The ribbed pattern improves grip inside concrete, reducing slippage under load and enabling tighter spacing in heavily stressed sections. Bars can be cut and bent on site, and welding or mechanical couplers can be used where the design requires continuity.
