304 Stainless Steel Plate 3mm 2B Finish

304 stainless steel plate 3mm 2B finish is a cold rolled, annealed and pickled plate supplied in 1500 x 3000 mm sheets. The 3 mm thickness sits at the point where sheet becomes plate, giving fabricators enough stiffness for tank shells, machine frames and process equipment while still cutting and forming on standard workshop machinery. The matte 2B surface is uniform, easy to clean and ready for welding without further preparation.

Applications

Typical uses include storage tanks and vessel shells, heat exchanger components, process skids, conveyor and machine guards, food processing tables and hoppers, and architectural panels where a low-glare finish is preferred. Grade 304 resists corrosion in humid, mildly acidic and general atmospheric conditions, so the plate performs reliably in food and beverage plants, water treatment equipment and light chemical service. The 2B finish takes welding, bending and forming predictably and can be passivated or polished after fabrication. Plates can be supplied sheared, plasma cut or waterjet cut to your drawing, with PVC film protection available for visible faces.
