Boiler steel pipe 20G 6 inch Sch 60 is a seamless carbon steel tube supplied with a 168.3 mm nominal outside diameter and a heavy-wall Sch 60 section. Grade 20G is a low-carbon boiler quality steel to GB/T 5310, produced for high-pressure steam, superheater and main steam service in power plants and industrial boiler plants.

Grade 20G holds carbon to 0.17–0.23 percent and manganese to 0.35–0.65 percent, giving a minimum yield strength of 245 MPa and a tensile range of 410–550 MPa. The low carbon content keeps the heavy wall bendable, weldable and expandable during membrane wall and header fabrication, and the pipe is normally delivered with a mill test certificate covering chemical composition, tensile and flattening results.
