Aluminum Foil 8079 0.006mm
Aluminum foil 8079 0.006mm soft temper is a thin-gauge foil supplied fully annealed for high-speed converting lines. Alloy 8079 is a low-iron, low-silicon foil stock that gives better pinhole resistance and higher tensile strength than 8011 at the same gauge, which is why it is the usual pick when 6 micron foil must stay leak-tight after rolling, laminating and embossing.

Applications
The soft temper keeps the strip pliable enough to wrap tightly around irregular shapes without cracking, and the bright finish takes printing and lacquering evenly. Typical uses include pharmaceutical blister lidding, sachet and confectionery wraps, laminated packaging board, cigarette foil, cable shielding tape and flexible insulation facings. Supplied in jumbo rolls or slit coils, the 6 micron gauge converts cleanly on standard printing, coating and laminating equipment.
