304 Stainless Steel Plate 20mm No.1 Finish

304 stainless steel plate in 20mm thickness with a No.1 finish is supplied by Shaanxi Shuncheng Tian Steel Co., Ltd. for heavy-gauge fabrication where the plate will be welded, rolled or machined after delivery. No.1 is the standard hot rolled mill finish — annealed and pickled, with a matte grey surface that accepts welding, forming and passivation without extra preparation. At 20mm it is a practical thickness for fabricators who need stiffness and corrosion resistance without paying for the higher alloy content of 316L.

20mm 304 plate is commonly selected for storage tanks and silos, structural base and pad plates, food and beverage processing equipment, support frames, railcar and trailer components, and general fabrication where a thicker section is required. Because 304 is austenitic, it keeps useful ductility at low temperature and can be sheared, plasma cut or waterjet cut on site. The No.1 surface is normally ground or polished only where it stays visible, which keeps the finished part economical.
