The molybdenum-bearing 316L grade is chosen where chlorides, acids or washdown chemicals would attack standard 304, making this coil a common input for chemical process equipment, coastal structures and food-grade fabrication.

Typical Applications
This 0.8 mm 316L coil is used for chemical storage tanks and piping shells, heat exchanger components, food and dairy processing equipment, pharmaceutical clean-room panels, coastal cladding, and architectural trim exposed to salt air. The low carbon content of 316L reduces sensitisation at weld zones, so the coil can be fabricated and welded without the intergranular corrosion risk that affects standard 316 in heavy sections.
