304 Stainless Steel Plate 16mm No.1 Finish

Shuncheng Steel supplies 304 stainless steel plate at 16 mm thickness with a No.1 finish — hot rolled, annealed and pickled. This heavy gauge is normally specified for pressure vessel shells and heads, chemical and mixing tanks, thick flanges and ring blanks, heat exchanger tube sheets and machine base plates, where corrosion resistance and weldability matter more than surface appearance. The plate is supplied in standard 1500 × 6000 mm and 2000 × 6000 mm sizes.

Typical Applications

At 16 mm the plate is used where the section itself carries the load: process vessel shells and dished ends, chemical and water storage tanks, thick flanges, heat exchanger tube sheets, ducting and chimney liners, and heavy machine base frames. The gauge gives rigidity without extra stiffening, and the pickled No.1 surface can be plasma cut, rolled, machined and welded with standard shop equipment.
